AT AVIVA MEDICAL SPA

A new layer of skin is already there. The VI Peel accelerates the reveal.

A chemical peel works by applying a controlled solution to the skin that causes the outermost layers to exfoliate and shed, revealing the newer, healthier skin beneath. The quality of the result depends almost entirely on the formula. At Aviva Medical Spa in Miami’s Design District, we use VI Peel — a medical-grade chemical peel system with five distinct formulas, each designed for a specific skin concern. Unlike the light superficial peels offered in non-medical settings, VI Peel formulas penetrate to the papillary dermis to address hyperpigmentation, acne, melasma, and deeper textural irregularities — not just the surface. Critically for a Miami patient base, VI Peel is formulated to be safe and effective across all Fitzpatrick skin types, including deeper skin tones that carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation with more aggressive treatments. Your provider will assess your skin at consultation and select the right formula, or combination of formulas, based on your specific concern and skin type.

Five formulas. One right for you.

Not all chemical peels work the same way.
The formula your provider selects depends on your primary skin concern, skin type, and treatment history.

COMBINATION PROTOCOLS

VI Peel + Combinations

VI Peel + Morpheus8 Peel Then Remodel

VI Peel exfoliates the surface and improves texture and pigmentation. Morpheus8 RF microneedling remodels deeper tissue for tightening and collagen stimulation. Sequenced protocols — typically Morpheus8 first, peel 4–6 weeks later — deliver comprehensive skin renewal across both surface and depth.

VI Peel + SkinPen Microneedling Resurface + Renew

SkinPen microneedling stimulates collagen through controlled micro-injury. VI Peel addresses pigmentation and surface texture that microneedling alone doesn’t target. The combination is particularly effective for acne scarring patients who have both textural and pigmented scar components.

VI Peel + PRP Peel + Growth Factors

PRF growth factors applied post-peel accelerate healing and amplify collagen stimulation during the skin’s active repair phase. Some providers apply PRF at the time of peel or as a post-care step for patients who want to maximize results and minimize downtime.

FAQS

Your Questions, Answered

One VI Peel delivers visible results. For more significant concerns — melasma, established hyperpigmentation, or acne scarring — a series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended. Your provider will set a realistic expectation at your consultation based on your specific concern and skin type.

Yes. VI Peel is specifically formulated to be safe and effective across all Fitzpatrick skin types, including deeper skin tones. The Precision Plus formula includes additional agents that suppress post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — a real risk with many peels and laser treatments in patients with deeper skin tones. This is one of the primary reasons we use VI Peel at Aviva.

Active peeling typically begins around day 3 and continues through days 5–7. Most patients are comfortable in public by day 7–10. The peeling is controlled and expected — do not pick or manually exfoliate. SPF is mandatory throughout. Many patients schedule peels on Fridays so the active peeling phase falls over a weekend.

Mineral makeup can typically be applied from day 2 onward if needed. Avoid heavy full-coverage products that require rubbing to apply during the active peeling phase. Your post-care kit instructions will specify product guidelines for each day of the healing process.

VI Peel Purify is specifically formulated for acne-prone skin — it addresses active breakouts, congestion, and excess oil while improving overall skin texture. For patients with both active acne and acne scarring, a series of Purify peels followed by SkinPen microneedling or Morpheus8 is often the most comprehensive approach.

WHY AVIVA MEDICAL SPA

Medical-grade results. Provider-customized formulas. Zero guesswork.

At Aviva Medical Spa in Miami’s Design District, VI Peel treatments are performed by providers who select your formula based on your actual skin — not a menu of options you self-select from online. The difference between a VI Peel that transforms your skin and one that just exfoliates it is provider knowledge: understanding which formula penetrates to the right depth for your concern, how your skin type will respond during the peeling phase, and what post-care protocol will maximize your result. In Miami’s diverse patient population, getting skin-type customization right matters. We don’t offer one-formula-for-everyone.
