Discomfort is minimal. The needles used for neurotoxin injections are ultra-fine, and most patients describe the sensation as a brief pinch. Topical numbing cream is available before treatment, and ProNox™ (nitrous oxide) is offered at Aviva for patients who want additional ease during the appointment.
Initial softening typically becomes visible within 2–5 days. Full results develop over 10–14 days as the neurotoxin fully takes effect and muscle activity reaches its minimum. Daxxify patients follow the same onset timeline the difference is in how long the results last, not how quickly they appear.
Most Botox and Dysport patients schedule treatments every 3–4 months to maintain consistent results. Daxxify patients on the extended formula can often extend to every 6–9 months. Over time, many patients find their muscles ‘train’ to relax with regular treatment, and some begin to need slightly fewer units or longer intervals between appointments.
