Laser energy targets the vein precisely. No incisions, no sclerotherapy, no surgery.

Facial spider veins, leg spider veins, and small varicose veins treated with the same precision.
Quick sessions. Most patients complete treatment in under 30 minutes per area.
Most patients need 2–3 sessions for complete clearance. Veins fade progressively after each treatment.

FACE · NOSE · CHEEKS
Fine red or purple spider veins on the nose, cheeks, and chin are a common concern, particularly in fair-skinned patients and those with rosacea-prone skin. Laser treatment targets these superficial vessels with precision, clearing them without damaging the surrounding skin. Results are visible within 2–4 weeks as treated vessels fade.
1–3 sessions for full clearance · 15–20 minutes per session
LEGS · THIGHS · ANKLES
Spider veins on the legs are among the most common vein concerns. Laser treatment is effective for fine spider veins (less than 3mm). Larger varicose veins or deep venous insufficiency may require a vascular specialist evaluation . Your Aviva provider will assess at consultation.
2–3 sessions recommended · 20–30 minutes per session depending on area
LEGS · SMALL DIAMETER VESSELS
Small, superficial varicose veins (reticular veins, 3–6mm range) can be addressed with laser in appropriate cases. Your provider will assess whether laser is the right modality for your specific vessels or whether sclerotherapy or a vascular specialist referral is the better path.
Consultation required for assessment · larger varicose veins may require referral
Most patients need 2–3 sessions for complete clearance of spider veins, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. The number depends on the size, density, and location of the vessels. Facial spider veins often clear in fewer sessions than leg veins. Your provider will give you a realistic estimate at consultation.
Most patients describe the sensation as a mild sting or rubber-band snap at each pulse. Cooling is applied after each pulse to minimize discomfort. The treatment is brief and well-tolerated by most patients without numbing.
Laser vein removal uses targeted light energy to collapse the vessel without injection. Sclerotherapy injects a chemical solution directly into the vein. Laser is preferred for fine spider veins and facial veins. Sclerotherapy is often more effective for larger leg veins. Your provider will recommend the appropriate modality based on your specific vessels.
Treated vessels are permanently destroyed and do not return. However, new spider veins can develop over time due to genetics, sun exposure, standing for long periods, or hormonal changes. Maintenance treatments are available for patients who develop new vessels.
Minimal to none. Mild redness and slight swelling at treatment sites typically resolve within a few hours to 1–2 days. Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Avoid strenuous exercise and direct sun exposure on treated areas for 24–48 hours.
At Aviva Medical Spa in Miami’s Design District, vein removal treatments are performed by providers who assess your vessels before treatment not just apply laser to whatever is visible. Knowing which vessels are candidates for laser versus which require sclerotherapy or a vascular specialist referral is the difference between effective treatment and repeated sessions that don’t address the underlying concern. If your veins are right for laser, you’ll have a clear expectation of how many sessions it takes and exactly what you’re getting.
